This lovely Zambian coffee comes from the Mafinga Hills the highest point in the country, overlooking lake Bangweulu. Kateshi coffee estate, was one of the first coffee estates in Zambia, established in 1972.
Our coffee partners play a vital role in supporting the community to include fresh drinking water, education at both primary and secondary level and a health care clinic facility to name but a few.
Kateshi estate was also recognized for boldly challenging the gender stereotypes in Zambia, being the first and only coffee estate to employ women for traditionally male-dominated roles such as driving tractors and even larger equipment like road graders and bulldozers. A strong focus on gender equality makes this coffee directly contribute to the empowerment of women.
Needless to say Kateshi Estate is a quality focussed farm, gaining various accolades over the years and producing great coffee.
